PEXHURST GOLFERS CLUB TOGETHER FOR CHARITY DAY OUT

We Build The Future was delighted with the generous support from fit-out and refurbishment specialist Pexhurst at their charity golf event. The day out was a hole-in-one success, raising essential funds for the charity’s mission to improve cancer prevention, detection, and treatment, while also providing assistance to industry workers dealing with the impact of cancer.

Held on Friday 22nd September at the London Golf Club in Kent, the charity golf day had a fantastic turn out with 90 golfers in attendance. The beautiful weather and stunning Jack Nicklaus designed downland course provided the perfect setting for a day of golfing and fundraising.

Commenting Richard Harral, founder of We Build The Future said: “We’re delighted to have had so much support from Pexhurst and everyone who contributed to the fundraising for We Build The Future at the 2023 charity golf day. Every donation is important, and with the support of construction businesses like Pexhurst, we can help to build a future where more people beat cancer.”

Pexhurst said: “We are proud to have supported We Build The Future by hosting our largest ever charity event on the hottest day of the year, and raising a significant amount of money which will contribute to critical cancer research, prevention, and support programs.”

Support from businesses and individuals is critical to We Build The Future’s fundraising efforts. The charity works to provide improved support and advice for people who work in the construction and built environment sector who face the challenge of dealing with cancer in their lives. Helping to fund research, which can accelerate improvements in the prevention, detection and treatment of cancer, the charity aims to promote health and wellbeing across the industry to help reduce the risk of people developing cancer in the first place.

We Build The Future works with and supports the world’s biggest cancer charity, Cancer Research UK. Funds raised are shared between research and initiatives, such as the site surgery, to support people in construction to access expert information and support.
